Pierce County Sheriff

The Pierce County Sheriff's Department is a full service police agency that offers a range of law enforcement services. With one of its locations in Gig Harbor, Wash., the department sells personal property to satisfy court judgments. Its civil unit serves legal documents throughout the county, performs evictions and enforces the orders of the court. The department employs a staff of law enforcement officers and support personnel, as well as volunteers. It prepares innovative marketing proposals. The department also develops data base of all other county departments contracts that include names, agency, terms, and expiration dates. In addition, the Pierce County Sheriff's Department conducts research, air and rescue operations.
