Peak View Elementary School

Founded in 2001, Peak View Elementary School serves more than 600 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The school s curriculum is based on the brain research of learning and reading styles of elementary-grade students. It offers a variety of programs, such as physical education, special education, speech therapy, music, library, Title 1 and counseling. Peak View Elementary School offers a range of subjects, such as reading, mathematics, writing, spelling, social studies, science and phonics for students in grades one and two. Additionally, the school conducts classes in music and fine arts. It also operates a library that offers various resources, such as books and newspapers. Peak View Elementary School operates a parent-teacher association that funds and supports academic programs and social activities. Located in Penn Laird, Va., the school is a part of Charlotte County Public Schools.
