King's Academy

In operation for more than 120 years, The King s Academy is a Christian preparatory school that offers educational opportunities to students in kindergarten through grade 12. It operates elementary, middle and high schools. The academy employs custodians and provides food and maintenance services. The King s Academy s curriculum includes English, language arts, social studies, science, math, art, computer applications and Spanish. Its schools also provide classes in health and physical education, spelling and reading. The academy s schools offer various athletic activities, including cheerleading, cross-country, basketball, football, volleyball, bowling, soccer, tennis, golf, and track and field. The King s Academy operates Chinese and Latin clubs. It conducts a range of extracurricular activities, such as rappelling, climbing, hiking, backpacking, camping and canoeing. Located in Seymour, Tenn., the academy is a member of The Southern Baptist Association of Christian Schools and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
