Dry ice is an amazing product which undergoes a process called sublimation in which solid ice converts directly to carbon dioxide gas. It is -109 degrees Fahrenheit and is ideal for keeping food frozen at the optimal temperature. In addition, dry ice is relied upon in the construction and mechanical fields to perform tasks like shrinking shafts or evacuating tanks. Also, dry ice is sought by medical centers and labs for sample preservation and other necessary functions.Consumers frequently use dry ice for camping, traveling, shipping frozen food or items, science fair projects, parties, or even simply to keep food cold when a freezer goes out. Girton Adams Co. dry ice is high-grade and can be delivered or picked up at our Sioux Falls location. The dry ice itself is manufactured in 50 lb. blocks and we have a large supply on hand with volume discounts available. Minimum purchase is 10 lbs. for $12.00, roughly the size of a brick. However, if a customer requires less than 10 lbs. we will cut the piece to any desired size. Bunkers of blocks, nuggets, or rice also available upon request.
