Mickelson Middle School

Mickelson Middle School was founded in 1967 and is located in Brookings, S.D. The school has enrollment of more than 500 students in grades six through eight. It provides education in several subjects, such as English, language arts, mathematics, social studies, life skills and visual arts. The school s science department offers classes in botany, biology, chemistry and life, environmental, physical and earth sciences. Its extracurricular activities include band, choir and orchestra. The school additionally teaches typing and computer to students. Its special education department offers several programs and activities for students with disabilities.
