Shearman Oil Inc

Shearman Oil, Inc. is a small, family-owned fuel delivery and equipment repair company located in Tiverton, Rhode Island, serving both residential and commercial customers. The company was founded in Portsmouth as Pedersen Oil. Darwin Shearman bought the company in 1974 and changed the name to Shearman Oil, Inc. In 1978, Darwin's son, Scott, began working at the company first as a fuel delivery driver and working his way up through burner service technician and various management roles. In 2002, Scott became president as his father retired. Like his dad, Scott maintains the company philosophy of taking care of customers on a personal level. Today, Scott has grown the company to serve over 1,000 residences and businesses; from Newport and Aquidneck Island to Westport.
