Waverly Elementary School

Waverly Elementary School serves more than 250 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school has a library media center that assists students in the use of current and appropriate information and encourages reading as a lifetime activity. The school offers academic classes in various subjects, such as vocal and instrumental music, math, science, speech, technology, art, health, social studies and physical education. It offers an accelerated reader program that is used to monitor and guide the reading practices and helps students in improving reading abilities. It is operated by Greater Albany Public School District 8J, which also operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Waverly Elementary School has been operational for more than 55 years and is located in Albany, Ore.
