Established in 1940, Dairy Queen is one of the largest fast food restaurant chains in the United States and across the globe. Located in Orrville, Ohio, the company operates more than 5,900 restaurants in the United States, Canada and 20 other foreign countries. Dairy Queen offers a variety of items in the menu featuring cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chicken wraps, regular French fries, onion rings, side salads, medium drinks, small sundaes as well as soft cones. In 1998, Berkshire Hathaway Inc. acquired International Dairy Queen, Inc. and its subsidiary companies.
