Independence Middle School

Independence Middle School is a coeducational institution that offers academic education and enrichment programs to students in grades five through eight. The school has a parent-teacher association that works to strengthen public education through parent and community involvement. The school organizes a range of sporting activities that include football, cheerleading, track and field, wrestling, basketball and volleyball. It has a media center has a library that supports the school curriculum and assists students in the use of current and appropriate information, and encourages reading as a lifetime activity. The school offers education in various subjects, including math, science, computer applications, health, physical education and social studies. Independence Middle School is a part of the Independence School District.
