Mt Gilead Elementary School

Mount Gilead Elementary School provides educational services to more than 400 students in prekindergarten through grade five. It is located in Mount Gilead, N.C., and is affiliated with the Montgomery County Schools. It also conducts self-contained education classes. The various subjects offered include English, language, art, mathematics, science and social studies. In addition, the school provides English as a second language, foreign language, music, art, library and media center and computer application classes. It offers various programs to the students, including reading first, the Gator Academy and academically and intellectually gifted program. In addition, Mount Gilead Elementary School s academically and intellectually gifted program offers students with learning objectives across the curriculum, including topics in government, economics, math, geography, business, science, and language arts and also provides students with an opportunity to learn about fundamental economics concepts in the world of business, finance and investing in the classroom environment.
