Putnam Valley High School is a part of the Putnam Valley Central School District, which also operates elementary and middle schools and has more than 160 teachers and over 125 support personnel. The school offers honors programs in math, science, English, social studies and Spanish. It also provides advanced placement courses in economics, chemistry, calculus, U.S. history and biology. The school additionally provides a range of athletic activities, such as volleyball, swimming, soccer, cheerleading, cross country, hockey and football. Located in Putnam Valley, the school operates dance, art and history clubs. Established in 2000, Putnam Valley High School has an enrollment of more than 650 students in grades 9 through 12.
