De Ruyter Secondary School

DeRuyter Elementary School organizes spelling bee competitions, vocal concerts, science fairs, parent-teacher conferences and family movie nights. The school provides a character education program to more than 200 students in kindergarten through grade five. It offers an after-school program called homework club to fourth and fifth grade students. DeRuyter Elementary School supports several sports activities, such as volleyball and basketball. The school offers special classes in music and drama. It has various academic departments, including English, math, science, social studies and language arts.
