Coastal Learning Ctr

The Coastal Learning Center, founded in 1974, operates three state-approved private day schools that serve students with special needs between the ages of 5 and 21. Its program prepares students to return to public schools and lead independent, productive lives after graduation. The center s curriculum includes content area courses in reading, math, science, social studies and foreign language. Its curriculum also focuses on living, life skills and post-secondary placement. The Coastal Learning Center provides individual, group and crisis counseling services to students and parents. It offers on- and off-site employment orientation services. The center also conducts field trips and other extracurricular activities. In addition, it specializes in the areas of culinary and horticulture studies. The Coastal Learning Center has a location in Howell, N.J.
