Shore Agency was incorporated in 1929 by Rueben Babcock and Edward Smith as an insurance agency, a real estate agency and a motor vehicle office. In 1966 the agency was purchased by William Avery and was focused solely on insurance. Mr. Avery added commercial marine insurance to the array of personal and commercial insurance products available through the agency. With the passing of Mr. Avery in 1992 the agency began a transformation under Nancy Conover to the modern agency you see today.
