Sparta High School

Sparta High School serves students in grades 9 through 12. Its academic curriculum includes programs in English, mathematics, physics, chemistry, world history, mythology and agriculture studies. The school additionally offers courses in environmental science, Spanish, computer applications, U.S. history and physical education. Sparta High School also offers classes in articulated drafting and accounting. It offers a guidance program that includes consultation, assessment, planning and referral services, as well as individual and small-group crisis intervention services. The school s athletics department offers a variety of sports activities, such as basketball, baseball, cross country, volleyball, cheerleading, softball, and track and field. In addition, Sparta High School supports several organizations that include the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) and student council, as well as chess, drama and gardening clubs. It is located in Sparta, Mo., and is a part of the Sparta R-III School District.
