Holy Redeemer Church

The Catholic faith community of Marshall began to take shape in the 1870s with the expansion of the railroad and under the strong influence of Archbishop John Ireland. With financial support from area Protestant businessmen, a wooden church, built in 1884, was expanded in 1890. The present classical, cruciform brick structure was completed in 1915. Holy Redeemer parish was incorporated October 14, 1890.
