Barron C & Sons Inc

A family owned and operated business since 1949, C. Barron & Sons Inc., is a company with a deep sense of community and religious values. It's founder, Charles Barron Jr., started as an Agent for Standard Oil Company in the small community of Newport, Michigan. Over the next 26 years, with the help of his wife, family and dedicated drivers, he expanded his service area to include most of Monroe County. It includes a customer base of farmers, industrial, commercial accounts, and nearly 1000 home heating accounts. In 1976, Standard Oil Company converted its Agents to Independent Businessmen or Jobbers, as they are known in the industry, selling them the bulk plants and equipment. From that day forward, C. Barron & Sons Inc., was on a path of growth that would include the purchase of a number of area fuel distributors, a Pacific Pride Franchise, a fleet of semi-tankers, fuel and lubricant tank wagons, a number of stake trucks, and sales vehicles. Now some 56 years from the beginning, C Barron & Sons Inc., services most of southeastern lower Michigan with BP/Amaco branded fuels, Marathon, Premcor, Sunoco unbranded fuels, and a full line of Conoco and Marathon Lubricants. The founder's sons, Tom and Paul Barron, who manage a staff of 30 full time drivers, sales and office personnel, direct the company. Together with the help of our staff, suppliers, and family, we look forward to growth, community service, and prosperity long into the new millennium
