Dettinger Lumber Company is an independently owned and operated lumber and building material supplier in Western Massachusetts. We are conveniently located just off of routes 7 and 20 in Pittsfield. We offer a full line of lumber, building materials, millwork, paint, and hardware. As a smaller independent, we strive to offer high-quality products, great customer service, and competitive prices. Our business is geared to the contractor customer, but being located in a fairly rural market we realize the importance of our industrial and homeowner customers as well. Our goal is to build long-term relationships with all three of these groups throughout Berkshire County and the surrounding area. Our business is a mix of the old lines lumber yard and some of the newer advancement in the industry. Amongst the old wood framed lumber sheds we have a new steel building designed for ease of loading of finished goods for our customers. Our sales area consists of a customer service right up in the front where everyone can find it. Adjacent to this is our 2500 square foot hardware store. Off the premises, but less than a block away is the showroom that we opened in 1998. It is fully staffed and open during our regular business hours. Inside are full displays of kitchen and bath cabinets, windows and doors, flooring, and much more.
