General InfoThe Legal Center, founded in 1979, is a general practice law firm that provides legal counsel to more than 1,200 clients annually. The center educates law students for practice and professional services in law offices. It offers education related to the study of public policies and institutions that affect low-income individuals and families. The Legal Center also provides general instruction on various topics, such as client interviewing, case management, legal investigation and discovery, creative legal analysis, research and drafting. The center is a part of Harvard Law School, which serves over 1,900 students annually. In addition, it provides summer internship programs. The center sponsors more than 70 students through several clinical courses.
