Formed in 1977, Save-A-Lot food stores is one of the leading grocery chains in the United States. Based in Cynthiana, Ky., it has been operating nearly 1,200 stores. The store offers a range of products in various categories, such as baby needs, beverages, canned goods, garden fresh produce, personal care, household items and more. Some of the brands it carries include Caskey's, Ginger Evans, Port Side and Shaner's. Save-A-Lot food stores is a subsidiary of Supervalu Inc., a Fortune 100 company and one of the largest companies in the United States grocery channel.
