Preco designs and manufactures automated systems for cutting, drilling, welding and other specialized industrial operations. The company s systems incorporate laser and non-laser processing technologies and proprietary automation control software. Its capabilities include medical microcomponents cutting; perforation of specialty multilayered food packaging; and precision cutting of thin film conductive material for flexible circuits, radio frequency identification devices and membrane switches. Preco's non-laser systems are used in custom cutting applications for blood glucose testing strips, ceramic capacitors, graphic overlays, flexible circuits and other components. The company primarily serves the metals, electronics, medical devices, automotive, food packaging and general industrial markets. Its customers include Dow Chemical, IBM, Johnson & Johnson and Eastman Kodak. Preco has operated for more than 25 years and is headquartered in Lenexa, Kan.
