Has been in business since 1974 right here in Central Indiana, and is still family owned and operated. Jim Godby opened the first Godby Home Furnishings store in his hometown of Sheridan.Jim's philosophy of"work harder and work smarter"has allowed the tremendous growth of his company. That work ethic was instilled into Jim's son Jeff who joined the company in 1992. Jeff realized that you have to grow or be left behind, which is why Godby Home Furnishings expanded from the small one store shop in Sheridan to the current locations in Westfield, Avon, Carmel, and the Noblesville/Fishers area.While Godby Home Furnishings has grown through the years, the small town roots run deep. You can usually see Jim or Jeff at one of the stores every day. They like to set the example and believe that by working hard and showing up to work everyday, good things will happen. We carry well-known furniture lines like La-Z-Boy, Lane, Sealy, Klaussner, England, Vaughan-Bassett, Canadel, Bernhardt, Riverside and many more. In fact, we are The Largest independent La-Z-Boy dealer in the state of Indiana. We also are proud of being able to do business with many Indiana manufacturers like Best Chair, Mobel, Peters-Revington, and Miralux Bedding. Our buying power allows us to get the best pricing from the manufacturers which we are able to pass on to our customers. The items shown in our showrooms are generally stocked in our 75, 000 square foot warehouse in Westfield.If we happen to be out of stock, you can be sure we have it on order, and are expecting it to arrive in just a few days. We know our customers like instant gratification, and we like to make customers happy.
