Zachary Confections is a family-owned, American company that manufactures, packages and sells confectionery specialties. Its line of chocolate and sweets includes chocolate covered raisons, peanut clusters, assorted chocolates, gum drops and seasonal candies for Halloween, Easter, Christmas and Valentine s Day. In 2005, the company received the American Culinary ChefsBest award for best Candy Corn or Mello-Cr me Novelties. Zachary Confections was founded in 1950 in Chicago. In 1984, the company re-located to a 210,000-square-foot facility in Frankfort, Ind. The company s treats are available from a number of independent retailers, including Dollar General, Hobby Lobby, Pamida, Ace Hardware, Meijer and Wal-Mart.
