Rantoul Police Dept

The Rantoul Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency that prevents crime, protects residents lives and property, and preserves peace and order. It operates a dispatch center that handles dispatching of police, ambulance and fire calls. The police department employs a staff of more than 30 full-time sworn officers, including lieutenants, sergeants and patrol officers. The Rantoul Police Department supports Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), which is an international education program that seeks to prevent the usage of illegal drugs, gang activities and violent behavior. It operates a citizens police academy that provides training programs related to laws, firearms instruction, defensive tactics and first aid. The Rantoul Police Department is located in Rantoul, Ill.
