Established in 1919, Westex Inc. is one of the largest producers of flame-resistant fabrics in the world. Based in Chicago, Ill., the firm specializes in producing durable flame resistant cotton and cotton blended fabrics. Its flame-resistant fabrics are used for the protection against electric arc flash, flash fire, molten-metal hazards and welding.
