Dominick s Finer Foods, a member of the Safeway family of companies, is a regional grocery store chain that owns and operates more than 95 supermarkets in 14 states in the United States. The company s stores offers a variety of brand name meat, beverages, produce, general grocery and personal care products. Most stores also have specialty services, such as floral, photo and organic departments. The Dominick s concept was established in 1918 and the company maintains headquarters in Oak Brook, Ill. Its parent company, Safeway has headquarters in Pleasanton, Calif., and is one of the largest supermarket chains in the United States.
