Established in 1994, the Illinois State Crime Commission is a nonprofit organization that offers a variety of legislative solutions to assist law enforcement agencies in the prevention of criminal activities. The organization includes the members of law enforcement board, international trade unions, fraternal groups, and business and labor leaders. It provides services to curb drinking and driving. The Illinois State Crime Commission organizes gang informational programs and seminars to inform citizens about dangerous groups. The organization conducts investigations for nursing home abuse, kickbacks, payoffs and official malfeasance. In addition, it offers assistance to expose corruption in government agencies. The Illinois State Crime Commission maintains a location in Oak Brook, Ill.
