Herrin C U S D 4 Elem School

Herrin Community Elementary School offers educational courses to students in grades kindergarten through six in various subjects, including English, math, science, social studies, health and physical education. It offers various extracurricular activities in sports, such as basketball, volleyball, bowling, swimming, track and field, softball, cross country, tennis and soccer. Additionally, it offers full-day kindergarten, fine arts, tutoring, counseling and preschool programs. The school has a library and a media center that offers a collection of atlas, dictionary and encyclopedia, as well as books, puzzles, quizzes and resources for students and teachers. The school also offers various grants and special programs that include vision quest, early reading first, language academy, reading recovery, arts quality teaching network and title programs.
