Bradford House is a program of intensive counseling and education giving you the tools and resources to handle the stressors of life. Everyone is unique. Our program offers not only group therapy but a highly individualized treatment plan to meet your needs. Topics of group therapy include: Self-esteem Communication Co-dependency Assertiveness Depression Medication education Anxiety Panic Stress management Time management Healthy relationships Coping with grief Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Partial hospitalization is a comprehensive, highly structured, goal-oriented psychiatric treatment approach designed to decrease disturbing symptoms of depression and to increase individuals self-understanding and ability to cope with life stressors. Treatment includes group psychotherapy, group education, activity therapy, and individual therapy. Individuals 18 years of age and older with a wide variety of emotional problems can be treated. Individuals must be coherent and able to tolerate 6 hours of treatment per day. Common problems include depression, anxiety, grief issues, relationship difficulties, and work- related stressors. Treatment is provided by an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals including Psychiatrists, a Registered Nurse certified in Mental Health, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Social Service Coordinator, and an Activity Therapist. PHP staff members meet as a treatment team to develop individualized treatment plans for each client. Staff members also collaborate with outside treatment providers, physicians and community agencies to assure continuity of care and ongoing support during and following treatment. Marital, family therapy and education are available to PHP clients. Clients are encouraged to arrange for or provide their own transportation. When transportation cannot be provided by other resources, Bradford House can assist with arranging for or, in some cases, providing transportation. Bradford House accepts clients with Medicare, Medicaid, most commercial insurances, and private pay. Referrals are accepted from individuals and their families, physicians and their staff, nurses, social workers, clergy, and therapists.
