Southeastern Illinois College, founded in 1960 and located in Harrisburg, Ill., offers a range of educational and extracurricular programs to students. The courses offered include agriculture transfer, anthropology, art, nursing, auto technology, banking, biology, botany, business, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, carpentry, chemistry, communication, computer science, cosmetology, drafting, economics, education, and emergency medical training. Other courses offered by the college include English, fire science, food service, forestry, foreign languages, geography, geology, graphics, health, history, horticulture, journalism, industrial technology, mathematics, law, philosophy, physics, physical education, psychology, public relations, and sociology. The college also offers adult and community education programs, including adult basic education, community service, displaced homemakers and literacy.
