Charleston Fire & Rescue

The Charleston Fire and Rescue is one of the departments of the city of Charleston, Ill., that provides fire protection and emergency services. It maintains a fleet of fire engines, tankers, ambulances and utility vehicles. The department employs more than 30 people and provides its employees with training related to fire management and emergency medical services. It offers a variety of public safety programs throughout the year. The department organizes fundraising activities and community events. It operates two fire stations in Charleston, Ill.
