Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory is the U.S. Department of Energy s laboratory that specializes in high-energy particle physics. The laboratory has expertise to deliver particle beams for researchers conducting basic research on high-energy physics and related disciplines. It offers assistance with the design, development and building of accelerators and subsystems. Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory also performs underground particle physics and accelerator-based experiments. The laboratory supports innovative education programs to enhance the teaching and learning of science and mathematics at the precollege levels. In addition, it conducts public science lectures and symposia on a variety of topics related to physics. Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory is a part of the Illinois Technology and Research Corridor.
