Forest Park Police Department comprises of the detective division, records division, court division and courts services division. The department s detective division is responsible for identifying and apprehending offenders, recovering property, gathering, documenting and evaluating facts regarding criminal activity and assisting in the prosecution of those charged with criminal offenses. The detective division is also equipped with state of the art surveillance equipment, used to combat narcotics and vice problems. Forest Park Police Department communications division provides critical support to the department. This includes monitoring all communications, handling all 911 emergency calls, dispatching police, fire personnel and providing a link between the field and police headquarters.
