Windermere Elementary School

Windermere Elementary School provides education to students in grades kindergarten through five. Its academic program provides classes in various subjects, including English, mathematics, science, social studies, language arts and physical education. It has a parent-teacher association that brings students, parents and teachers together to discuss various programs and activities. The institution provides a program, TeachingBooks, that brings several authors, illustrators and videos together in one Web site. The school provides several other programs, such as ADDitions, a School Advisory Council and a Partners in Education program. It offers students nutritional meals that include mozzarella cheese sticks, hamburgers, fruit juices, cheese omelets, chicken on biscuits, French toasts, fresh fruits and cookies. The school is a part of the Orange County Public School District and is located in Windermere, Fla.
