Horizon Elementary School

Horizon Elementary School is governed by Volusia County Schools and is located in Port Orange, Fla. The school has an enrollment of more than 900 students in prekindergarten through grade five. Its curriculum includes English, writing, vocabulary, math, speech, science, history, speech, reading, basic skills, and physical and health education. It has a staff of more than 65 full-time certified teachers and maintains a guidance and counseling department that provides basic assistance to students. The school maintains a parent-teacher association that enables teachers, parents and administrators to enhance the educational experience of students.
