Riverwood Golf Club

The Riverwood Golf Club in Port Charlotte was created within a 1,300-acre parcel of pristine Old Florida landscape that is alive with a vast array of native birds and wildlife. It stretches serenely along three miles of the Myakka River and is surrounded by some of the best fishing and boating waters in Southwest Florida. The golf course is rated four and one-half stars by Golf Digest magazine. It amenities include a Gene Bates-designed, 18-hole, par 72 championship golf course, golf learning center, high-tech practice facility with five target greens and a one-acre, 18-hole putting green. Its clubhouse offers formal and informal dining, full-bar and a pro shop. An elevated wooden walkway leads directly to the beach, with sand chairs and loungers being provided by the attendant. Access is controlled through membership card operated gates, with coded entry systems protecting the internal facilities.
