Friends of Children

Established in 1992, Friends of Children is a nonprofit organization that serves children and families with mental health disabilities. The organization offers support programs for the prevention of substance abuse and domestic violence. It provides nutritional food services for abused and neglected youths between the ages of 12 and 18. Friends of Children features behavioral care, educational and after-school programs. The organization offers counseling services for issues related to unemployment, teenage pregnancy, drug abuse and criminal behaviors. In addition, it operates the Community Alliance to Reduce Delinquency Program for children involved in juvenile crimes. Friends of Children provides assistance with the emotional, physiological and spiritual development of individuals. The organization also offers parenting education programs that includes various topics, such as consequence management, problem assessment and systematic ignoring.
