Established in 1924, DATTCO is a family-owned full-service transportation company. This tri-state company has 13 facilities throughout the Northeast. The company employees more than 1,200 people throughout the different divisions of the company, which includes, Sales & Service, Coach & Tour and School Bus. Its Service division employs more than 120 mechanics, which are responsible for the complete maintenance of its vehicle fleet. Service facilities are located throughout Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. The company specializes in installing wheel chair lifts and is an authorized dealer for numerous manufactures including Ricon and Braun. The sales division sells more than 600 vehicles annually. The Coach & Tour division operates 120 vehicles, which offer services ranging from Dial-a-Ride to shuttle to commuter and charter services. Their fleet of 65 motorcoaches tour attractions throughout the Untied States and Canada. The Tour & Travel department has been apart of the company s unique makeup more than 20 years. It specializes in creating customized tours for groups ranging from student to senior citizens to corporate outings. The School Bus division operates 900 buses, which provide service for 12 school systems.
