Lincoln Technical Institute

Baran Institute is a postsecondary institution that provides technical career programs to students from various backgrounds. It offers various programs, including autobody, motorcycle technology, welding, and diesel and electrical. Its autobody program provides skills in shaping, molding and repairing vehicles, and offers basic and advanced technology information about automobiles. Its motorcycle technology program is designed to prepare students for careers in motorcycle technology and its welding program guides students through the industry and its course structure includes hands-on-practice in basic gas welding, finishing and pipe welding. Baran Institute has two hands-on training facilities, including a more than 315,000-square facility in East Windsor and 17,000-square facility in Windsor Locks, Conn. The institute was founded in 1979.
