Sierra Gold Nurseries

Walter Berg founded Sierra Gold Nurseries in 1951, next to the Feather River, just south of Yuba City, Calif. The company is family owned and sells rootstock, budwood and finished fruit and nut trees directly to orchardists. Sierra Gold Nurseries provides a variety of trees, including almond, apple, apricot, cherry, peach, olive, pear, plum, prune and walnut. The company has its headquarters and growing grounds in Sutter County, Calif., in the heart of the fertile Sacramento Valley. The Sacramento Valley has a long growing season, favorable climatic conditions and rich soil for development of trees.
