Los Angeles Police Dept

The Los Angeles Police Department is a full-service law enforcement and crime prevention agency. It offers a variety of community-support services and programs related to internship, teenagers, voluntary services and local events. The department also operates e-policing program that brings community policing to the Internet and enables senior lead officers, area captains and detectives to e-mail newsletters, crime trends and other important information to the public. In addition, the Los Angeles Police Department offers Web-based information related to most wanted and missing persons, gang injunctions, crime prevention, and complaints and commendation. The department maintains mounted, special operations and air support units, as well as a Special Weapons and Tactics Team.
