Nguoi Viet Inc

Founded in 1978, Nguoi Viet Daily News is the oldest, largest and most influential Vietnamese language newspapers outside of Vietnam. It operates in the heart of 'Little Saigon', located in Westminster, Calif., a business and cultural center for the Vietnamese in Southern California. The newspaper is circulated to Vietnamese communites across the United States. Nguoi Viet is also read online by tens of thousands of refugees internationally. Founded by Yen Ngoc Do, Nguoi Viet Daily News began as a weekly four-page newspaper. The first issue was printed in a garage in Garden Grove, Calif. Do financed the initial press run of 2,000 copies with $4,000 of his own savings. Today the newspaper has more than 50 employees and an audited circulation of more than 17,500 readers.
