Six Flags Magic Mountain

Six Flags Magic Mountain is the Los Angeles area branch of Six Flags, the world's largest regional theme park company. Known worldwide as a thrill-ride haven, the theme park features 16 world-class roller coasters and more than 100 rides, games and attractions for the entire family. The park is home to 11 different world records. Through its subsidiaries, the parent company, Six Flags, owns and operates a total of 30 parks in North America. Its parks serve 34 of the 50 largest metropolitan areas in the United States. Six Flags, a publicly-held corporation with corporate offices in New York City and Oklahoma City, was born in the imagination of Texas oil barren Angus Wynne, the father of the modern-day theme park. He set out to create a destination that would capture the excitement and wonder of the imagination. Wynne s first park, Six Flags Over Texas, opened in 1961.and took its name from the six countries whose flags had flown over Texas throughout the state's history.
