San Diego County Sheriff

Founded in 1850, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department is a law enforcement agency that has more than 3,000 sworn officers and other employees. It provides general law enforcement and public safety services for the people of San Diego County, Calif. The department also offers specialized regional services. The San Diego County Sheriff's Department operates detention facilities, as well as patrol stations, substations and a crime laboratory. In addition, it provides court, human resources and management services. The department also has a communication center and library. The San Diego County Sheriff's Department offers an online system for reporting harassing phone calls, theft, vandalism and burglary.
