Black Bear Diner

Bob & Laurie Manley opened their first Black Bear Diner in 1995 in Mount Shasta, Calif. Today, it has more than 30 locations throughout the United States. The restaurants feature signature bear carvings by Ray Schulz of Deer Park, Wash. Black Bear Diner has a collection of bear T-shirts, mugs and other apparel for guests. Its menu includes a variety of sandwiches, burgers, desserts, beverages and entrees. The restaurant chain offers a special kid s menu that includes grilled cheese sandwiches, corn dogs, hamburgers, chicken strips, french fries, and macaroni and cheese. Black Bear Diner sells gift cards of several denominations that can be redeemed at any of its restaurant locations. It maintains a location in Hanford, Calif.
