Sheldon Elementary

Operational for more than 50 years, Sheldon Elementary School serves more than 300 students in kindergarten through grade six. The school offers classes in math, science, English and social studies. It provides educational support services for students requiring additional assistance. Sheldon Elementary School has a parent-teacher association that organizes first day activities, fests, kindergarten orientation programs, and science and book fairs. The school offers English as a Second Language, special education, and gifted and talented programs. In addition, it provides physiological assessment and academic counseling services. Sheldon Elementary School s library features various types of curriculum and instructional materials. The school is governed by the West Contra Costa Unified School District, which operates several elementary, high, middle and alternative education schools.
