Matanuska Electric Assn

Operational since 1941, the Matanuska Electric Association is one of the largest member-owned electric cooperatives in Alaska. It offers information related to power outages, new generations and renewable energy sources. The company also provides information related to energy conservation. The Matanuska Electric Association offers online bill payment services. It serves more than 52,310 customers annually. The company is involved with various local chambers of commerce and supports local fundraising events. MEA also has made direct donations from time to time, in accordance with our donations policy, to organizations such as the Boy Scouts of America, the Mat-Su Youth Football Association, Little Leagues in Palmer and Knik, Wasilla Youth Baseball.
