The Taku Smokeries and Fishery is a family owned fish store that sells numerous types of fish including salmon, halibut and salmon jerky. Taku sells fish direct to consumers at its retail store in Juneau, Alaska as well as via the web and its catalog business. The company does business under its corporate entity, Southeast Alaska Salmon Company. The whole Taku operation is located on the Gastineau Channel in downtown Juneau, Alaska. Taku controls the whole process from the fish that comes in to its docks to the fish that is delivered to customers.The company also produces fish rubs and marinades for cooking. The company was founded in 1989.
