Southern Union College

Southern Union State Community College, founded in 1993 and a part of The Alabama College System, provides academic, technical and health science programs. The college offers course in business and accounting, industry, allied health, natural sciences, computers, banking, business administration, information systems, criminal justice and human services. The amenities offered by the college include library, media center, auditorium, museum, and dining and lodging facilities. It provides various services to students, such as academic consultation; coordination and supervision of student activities; and placement and transfer assistance. The sports activities offered by its athletic department includes cross country, baseball, basketball, volleyball and softball. The college is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Southern Union State Community College has campuses located in Wadley and Valley, Ala.
