Helena Intermediate School

Founded in 2001, Helena Intermediate School is an academic institution that offers programs to more than 750 students in grades three through five. The school provides classes in art, music, reading and physical education. It features a cafeteria, media center and resource room. Helena Intermediate School maintains a parent-teacher association and administers child nutrition programs. The school organizes fundraising programs and field trips and operates a chess club and chorus group. It also maintains a student council and organizes Thanksgiving Day events. Helena Intermediate School is a part of Shelby County Schools, which governs elementary, middle and high schools. The district provides after-school and gifted and talented programs. The school is located in Helena, Ala.
